Access to the Old Harbour is from Fore Street. There are Pay & Display car parks behind the Red Lion pub and at Sandy Cove, run by the harbour. There is very limited parking on Gwavas Quay (the Old Harbour quay) for deliveries but the access road is very steep and can be slippery in wet weather.
On Fore St, and only minutes away, are two pubs, the Red Lion and the Fishermen’s Arms. There is a bus stop opposite the Red Lion; buses to Mousehole (west) or Penzance (East) are every 30 minutes, 10 minutes after the hour and half hour.
Five minutes walk back towards Penzance from the Old Harbour are a number of pubs, restaurants, galleries and a Co-op. Opposite, in the Old Post Office building, and open on weekdays from 10-12 is the Newlyn Archive, home to thousands of documents and photos donated by the harbour and local residents.
